A Prentiss County, Mississippi woman, Allison Wade, was one of the passengers on a Delta flight that caught fire in Atlanta, Georgia on Jan. 10. Wade was on her way to Minnesota to attend her cousin’s funeral when the incident occurred. The flight was forced to abort takeoff due to an engine issue, resulting in the evacuation of approximately 200 passengers. Four people were injured in the incident, with one individual being sent to the hospital. Despite the terrifying experience, Wade remains positive and expressed her intention to travel again in the future. The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers associated with air travel and the importance of quick thinking and emergency preparedness in such situations.
