A local company in Cleveland, Mississippi, called “Jurbie McSwash” is making a name for itself in the alcohol industry with its unique cocktail mixes. Founded just one year ago, the company is already gaining attention as Bolivar County emerges as a hub for legal alcohol manufacturing. Bourbon enthusiast Clay Johnson praised the company’s products after trying their bourbon barrel pick and secret Bloody Mary cocktail mix, expressing his trust in the brand.
President of Jurbie McSwash, Phillip McIntosh, creates his Bloody Mary mix using locally sourced ingredients and draws inspiration from a neighbor’s recipe. He plans to have the mix available in stores by the second quarter of the year. Co-owner of Whole Cellars Liquor Store, Jana Alford, commended the company’s reputation for producing quality products and helping with bourbon barrel picks for their store.
With a distillery under construction in Rosedale and the growing interest in locally made alcohol products, Johnson believes that Bolivar County, and The Delta region as a whole, has the potential to thrive in the alcohol industry. As Jurbie McSwash prepares to expand its reach and distribution, the local community is excited about the economic potential that the alcohol industry brings to the area. The business’s success is not only a testament to its high-quality products but also to the growing reputation of Bolivar County as a center for alcohol production in Mississippi.
