Two people died and 18 were injured in a small plane crash in Fullerton, California, after the plane crashed into a furniture manufacturing building. The identities of the deceased have not been released. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Fullerton Municipal Airport, causing a fiery explosion and evacuation of the surrounding area. The pilot had reported an emergency and was attempting to make an emergency landing. The building was occupied by a furniture upholstery manufacturer, with 10 people taken to the hospital and eight treated at the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration identified the plane as a single-engine Van’s RV-10. Fullerton Municipal Airport has a history of plane crashes, with a similar incident occurring in November where a four-seat plane crashed into a tree after takeoff. Fullerton is located about 25 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
