Jordan Burgess joins Baptist Health as Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs


Jordan Burgess has been appointed as the new vice president of government relations and public affairs at Baptist Health. Prior to this role, Burgess worked at Art & Wellness Enterprises of Bentonville, supporting non-profit organizations such as Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Momentary. She also held various positions in former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s administration, focusing on health policy and legislative affairs.

Burgess played a key role in advancing Gov. Hutchinson’s healthcare goals and response to the COVID-19 pandemic while serving as the senior health policy advisor. She also has experience as an associate general counsel for Delta Dental. A Fort Smith native, Burgess graduated from Southside High School and has a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of Arkansas, as well as a law degree from the William H. Bowen School of Law and an MBA from the University of Central Arkansas.

In her new role at Baptist Health, Burgess will be responsible for managing government relations and public affairs initiatives for the organization. Her extensive background in health policy and legislative affairs makes her a valuable addition to the Baptist Health team as they continue to expand and provide quality healthcare services to the community. Burgess’s leadership and expertise will be instrumental in strengthening Baptist Health’s relationships with government entities and the public.
