In a recent interview on NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney issued severe warnings about the potential consequences of another Trump administration. She expressed concerns about Trump’s belief that he would be immune from any consequences of his actions while in office, and the dangerous impact this could have on the rule of law in the country. Cheney also agreed with retired Gen. Mark Milley’s characterization of Trump as a “fascist to the core.” She criticized Trump’s behavior during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and his response to natural disasters, calling his actions “fundamentally cruel” and stating that they make him unfit for office.
Cheney warned that another Trump administration would lead to erratic and chaotic foreign policy decisions, with a focus on supporting tyrants. She emphasized her support for Vice President Kamala Harris and her belief that Harris would lead with sincerity and dedication to public service. Cheney also criticized House Speaker Mike Johnson for his claims about the peaceful transfer of power, citing the Jan. 6 riot as evidence that the transfer was not peaceful. She expressed concern about the potential for Republicans to regain the majority in the House in 2025 if Trump continues to undermine the integrity of elections.
