Homestead for the Holidays, an annual event at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum, concluded with a festive celebration on Friday. The event, which has been running for almost two decades, was a popular destination for families looking to enjoy holiday activities. Visitors could enjoy activities such as Storytime with Santa, train rides, tractor rides, and making Christmas tree ornaments for a ticket price of $8 for ages 3 and up. The event also featured breakfast for supper and various demonstrations.
Michael Hogg, the marketing and event manager for the museum, stated that Homestead for the Holidays is one of their bigger events and typically attracts around 15,000 people over the two-day period. The event was a highlight for many families, offering a mix of holiday traditions and educational experiences at the museum.
The event, which had been uninterrupted for many years except for the year during the COVID-19 pandemic, provided a fun and festive atmosphere for attendees. As families celebrated the holidays and enjoyed the various activities offered at the museum, Homestead for the Holidays wrapped up another successful year, bringing joy and holiday spirit to all who attended.
