Mississippi State Bulldogs secured a hard-fought 91-84 victory against Prairie View A&M in a thrilling basketball matchup. Josh Hubbard led the Bulldogs with 25 points, while Claudell Harris Jr. added 21 points to secure the win. Prairie View A&M initially took the lead in the second half, but Mississippi State rallied with a 14-1 run, led by Hubbard and Harris Jr., to regain control of the game. The Bulldogs’ strong offensive performance, shooting 55.6% from the field and 42.3% from beyond the arc, ultimately sealed their victory.

Despite a hot start from Prairie View A&M, who led by 15 points in the first half, Mississippi State managed to turn the game around with a 32-17 run to tie the score before halftime. The Panthers fought hard, with Nick Anderson, Tanahj Pettway, and Marcel Bryant leading the charge, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Mississippi State’s determined effort.

Mississippi State dominated the boards, outrebounding Prairie View A&M 35-22, and showcased their depth with a 31-20 advantage in bench points. The Bulldogs’ defense struggled at times, allowing the Panthers to shoot 56.4% from the field and 52.6% from beyond the arc. However, their offensive firepower, led by Hubbard and Harris Jr., proved to be the difference-maker in securing the win.

With this victory, Mississippi State improved their record to 8-1, while Prairie View A&M fell to 1-8 on the season. The Bulldogs will look to build on this momentum as they continue their basketball season.
