Ole Miss Women’s Basketball Elevates Coaching Staff Ahead of New Season

OXFORD, Miss. – Following a successful campaign that saw Ole Miss women’s basketball reach the Sweet 16 for the second time in three years, head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin has announced key promotions within her coaching staff for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Quentin Hillsman has been promoted to associate head coach, while Empress Davenport and Joy Smith move up to associate coaches. McPhee-McCuin emphasized the importance of recognizing their growth and contributions. "These promotions reflect the expanding roles and responsibilities tasked to my staff, who have been integral to our program’s success," she stated.

This coaching trio played a pivotal role in leading the Rebels to their 21st NCAA Tournament appearance and achieving 20 overall wins during the program’s landmark 50th anniversary year. Their efforts also helped star player Madison Scott earn All-America Honorable Mention honors, with recognition from the SEC for both her and fellow standout freshman Sira Thienou.

As they gear up for the 2025-26 season, Hillsman, Davenport, and Smith have fortified the team by recruiting seven transfers, including standout forward Cotie McMahon, expected to make a significant impact in the SEC.

With season tickets now available for the 2025-26 campaign, fans are encouraged to secure their spots for what promises to be another exciting season. For the latest team updates, supporters can subscribe to "The Sip," the official Rebels newsletter, or follow the program on X, Facebook, and Instagram.
