Mississippi State Enhances Roster with Jackson Logar Commitment Amid College World Series Action

Logar comes to Mississippi State fresh off a solid season at James Madison, where he served primarily as a starting pitcher. Last season, he recorded a 4-5 win-loss record with an impressive 3.53 ERA over 74 innings, tallying 72 strikeouts and 41 walks. Additionally, Logar showcased his talent by achieving notable victories, including a standout performance against then-No. 20 Troy, allowing just two hits while striking out nine batters.
In his freshman year in 2024, Logar primarily operated as a relief pitcher, notching two saves and ending the season with a 5.19 ERA over 43.1 innings. His pitching prowess has been highlighted by a unique low slot delivery, enhancing his effectiveness on the mound.
Logar is the third pitcher Mississippi State has landed from the transfer portal, joining fellow acquisitions Tomas Valincius and Maddox Webb. According to 64 Analytics, Logar is ranked as the No. 66 player overall in the portal.
While the Bulldogs focus on enhancing their team for the upcoming season, several players including Will Passeau and Eli Walker have left the program. The influx of new talent, including Logar, aims to keep Mississippi State competitive in the SEC landscape.
