Fatal Altercation in Taylorsville: Good Samaritan Shoots Alleged Carjacker

According to Taylorsville Police Chief Gabe Horn, the altercation began shortly after midnight when the Good Samaritan approached a man who appeared stranded.
The situation escalated when the allegedly distressed motorist turned aggressive, reportedly trying to seize control of the assisting vehicle. In the ensuing struggle, the Good Samaritan fired his weapon, resulting in the death of the alleged carjacker.
As the investigation continues, police have indicated that no charges have been filed against the Good Samaritan at this time.
