Economics Arkansas Welcomes New Board Members at Quarterly Meeting
At its recent quarterly board meeting, Economics Arkansas announced the appointment of six new members to its board of directors, each set to begin a three-year term starting June 1, 2025. The newly elected members bring diverse expertise from various sectors.
The new appointees include:
- Brian Beasley, Senior Manager of Innovation & Strategy at ArcBest Technologies
- Stephen Lane, Vice President of Clark Contractors LLC
- Sam Phillips, Assurance Manager at Hogan Taylor LLP
- Zeb Prothro, Incoming Superintendent of Beebe School District
- Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria, President of the University of Arkansas System
- Ron Witherspoon, President & CEO of Arvest Bank Central Arkansas
The meeting also highlighted the significant contributions of existing board member Allison Richardson, who was recognized for her 25 years of dedicated service. Richardson, a retired CPA from Little Rock, has played a crucial role in advancing the organization’s mission.
Economics Arkansas, established in 1962 by Dr. Arch Ford and spearheaded by Dr. Bessie B. Moore, is a private, non-profit, non-partisan educational organization devoted to promoting economic literacy in the state.
