Ole Miss Football Offers Scholarship to Emerging Mississippi Quarterback

Rising Star Sladen Shack Receives Offer from Ole Miss

Brandon, Mississippi—As he prepares for his junior season, Sladen Shack, a standout quarterback for the Brandon Bulldogs, continues to make headlines in college football recruiting. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete recently announced via social media that he has received an offer from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), marking a significant milestone in his budding career.

Shack, who has already garnered attention from programs like Tulane and Murray State, put himself on the radar of the Rebels’ coaching staff this week during a competitive camp session. His tweet expressing gratitude included praise for Coach Weis and showcased his excitement about joining the prestigious Southeastern Conference (SEC) with this offer.

“#AGTG After a great conversation with Coach @WeisJr_M, I’m blessed to receive an offer from the University of Mississippi,” Shack shared on Twitter, solidifying his status as one of Mississippi’s top quarterbacks.

This offer from Ole Miss boasts special significance, being the first from an SEC school for Shack, who is also receiving interest from Central Arkansas. As Coach Lane Kiffin and his staff strategize for the 2027 recruiting cycle, they are clearly focused on nurturing local talent like Shack.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss is also vying for other high-profile quarterbacks, including Hank Hendrix from Fayetteville, Arkansas, who recently picked up an offer from the Rebels as well. Hendrix, a four-star prospect, had an impressive sophomore season, throwing for over 4,200 yards and 46 touchdowns.

As both Shack and Hendrix prepare for their junior campaigns, all eyes are on them as they strive to make their mark in high school football and beyond. Follow Zack Nagy on Twitter for the latest updates on Ole Miss football.
