Eight Flashettes Earn All-American Honors at UDA Camp
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Eight talented members of the St. Aloysius Flashettes dance team were recently honored as All-Americans during the Universal Dance Association (UDA) camp held at Mississippi State University. The distinguished dancers—Raigen Smith, Farrell Roberson, Elizabeth Bednar, Olivia Larsen, Hayden Bell, Marley Gibellino, Megan Theriot, and Caroline Ponder—were recognized for their outstanding performances and leadership qualities.
The four captains of the team—Larsen, Bell, Bednar, and Roberson—were among those selected, showcasing their dedication and skill. Highlighting her contributions, Bell received the esteemed "Pin It Forward" award, which acknowledges dancers who exemplify exceptional character and inspire their peers.
The Flashettes exhibited remarkable prowess at the camp, achieving a Superior Trophy and securing a bid to the UDA Nationals. These recent recognitions further solidify the team’s status as a formidable presence in competitive dance.
St. Aloysius has a proud tradition, having won 10 consecutive state championships and ranking in the top five nationally last season. Under the guidance of coach Chesley Lambiotte, the Flashettes have built a reputation for excellence, both in performance and character.
As they celebrate their latest accomplishments, the team is looking forward to another promising season, preparing for upcoming national competitions. The Flashettes continue to exemplify dedication, talent, and teamwork, ensuring their place as leaders in the dance community.
