Press Release: Excitement Builds as Miss Mississippi 2025 Contestants Return to Vicksburg
JACKSON, Miss. — The race for the Miss Mississippi 2025 title is heating up in Vicksburg as four alternates from the Miss Mississippi 2024 competition return to vie for the crown. Among the 33 delegates, four of the Top 11 contestants are back, each bringing their unique vision and aspirations.
First Alternate Becky Williams is joined by Jane Granberry, who holds the title of Miss Hattiesburg 2025 and was Miss Mississippi’s Teen in 2019. Granberry, a graduate of the University of Mississippi, aims to launch a public relations firm focused on elevating the narratives of small businesses in the South. “Those stories deserve to be told,” she emphasized, reflecting on her entrepreneurial spirit, which began with her first LLC at age 15.
Second Alternate Morgan Nelson, this year’s Miss Vicksburg, is making waves as a published author of a sugar-free dessert recipe book titled "Don’t Sugarcoat it Y’all." A recent Mississippi State graduate, she intends to utilize her scholarship earnings to pursue a career in medical school.
Mississippi State University’s Sarah Randolph, the Third Alternate, also returns, planning a career in cosmetic dentistry. Originally from South Korea, Randolph’s journey includes a rich cultural background and a drive to excel.
Lastly, Anna Leah Jolly, the Fourth Alternate and Miss Capital City, is a dance teacher pursuing her studies at Belhaven University. A native of Ukraine, Jolly expresses gratitude and pride in representing her community on the Miss Mississippi stage.
The competition highlights the commitment of candidates to community service, with several, including Jolly, recognized as Quality of Life Finalists. The Miss Mississippi Corporation awards over $120,000 in scholarships annually, and winners will be announced later this week.
