Mississippi State Duo Earn ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Honors
STARKVILLE – Mississippi State University baseball standouts Ace Reese and Noah Sullivan have been recognized for their outstanding performances this season, earning spots on the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region team. Reese, a sophomore third baseman, has been named to the first team, while designated hitter Sullivan received second team accolades.
Reese has had an impressive season, starting 57 games and leading the Diamond Dawgs with a .352 batting average. He accumulated 80 hits, including 18 doubles and 21 home runs, and drove in 66 RBIs. His slugging percentage of .718 ranks him second in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), while he also placed third in home runs and total bases. Notably, he recorded 25 multi-hit games and five multi-homer games during the campaign.
On the other hand, Sullivan, a junior from Orlando, was the only player to start all 59 games in 2025. He showcased his skills with a .345 batting average and a remarkable .475 on-base percentage, leading the team with 63 runs scored. His hitting record included 70 hits, 16 doubles, and 15 home runs, placing him third in the SEC for on-base percentage.
With the addition of Reese and Sullivan, the total number of Bulldogs named to the ABCA All-Region team has reached 75 since 1949, underlining the program’s sustained excellence. Mississippi State has earned 93 such honors in that timeframe.
New head coach Brian O’Connor is actively involved in the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America and Coach of the Year committee, further showcasing the program’s commitment to excellence.
