Ole Miss Men’s Tennis Welcomes New Assistant Coach Jason Kros

Oxford, Miss. – Ole Miss men’s tennis is poised for an exciting future with the recent hiring of Jason Kros as an assistant coach, announced by head coach Jake Jacoby on Tuesday.

Jacoby praised Kros as a "proven workhorse," highlighting his journey from walk-on at Virginia Tech to earning the National ITA Most Improved Senior Award. Kros’s collegiate success, which included an NCAA Tournament Singles berth, showcases his relentless dedication to growth and improvement.

Kros arrives at Ole Miss following an impressive four-year stint with the Princeton coaching staff, where he played a crucial role in taking the Tigers to the NCAA Championships in 2022, 2024, and 2025, marking their best finish in nearly three decades with a second-round advancement this past season. He coached standout athletes including All-American Paul Inchauspé and helped Top Nidunjianzan reach the NCAA individual second round in 2024.

Before his tenure at Princeton, Kros served as an assistant at Virginia Tech, contributing to the team’s NCAA berth in 2021.

As a student-athlete at Virginia Tech, Kros distinguished himself both on and off the court, receiving the National ITA Most Improved Senior Award, achieving NCAA Singles Championship participation, and being named the ITA Atlantic Region Senior of the Year. His academic accomplishments include three selections to the ACC All-Academic Team.

Jacoby expressed enthusiasm for Kros’s fit within the Ole Miss program, stating that his commitment to building a culture of belief, growth, and accountability will be instrumental moving forward.
