Mississippi State Football Recruiting: Monitoring 2026 Commitments Under Jeff Lebby

Mississippi State’s Football Season Under Coach Jeff Lebby Falls Short, Impacting 2026 Recruitment

STARKVILLE — The inaugural season of Mississippi State football under head coach Jeff Lebby saw disappointment, concluding with a 2-10 record and a winless streak in the SEC. The Bulldogs secured victories solely against Eastern Kentucky and UMass, while all SEC losses came by double digits.

Amid this challenging season, the Bulldogs’ priorities have shifted toward recruitment, shaping their future prospects. Lebby’s first recruiting class for 2025 ranked 28th nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. As the focus now turns to the 2026 class, the Clarion Ledger is diligently tracking the team’s commitments.

Key commitments for the 2026 class include:

  • Brodie McWhorter: A three-star quarterback from Cass High School in Cartersville, Georgia, ranked 523rd nationally.
  • Jakobe Green: An offensive lineman from Gadsden County, Florida, also a three-star, ranked 569th nationally.
  • Jaiden Taylor: A three-star athlete hailing from Noxubee County, Mississippi, currently ranked 595th nationally.
  • Camden Capehart: A wide receiver from Winnsboro, Texas, ranked 658th nationally.
  • Jaeden Hill: A running back from Tupelo, Mississippi, holding a national ranking of 715th.
  • Kaleb Morris: A defensive lineman from Alabama, ranked 923rd.
  • Camron Brown: A cornerback from Valdosta, Georgia, ranked 1,097th.
  • Kolby Barrett: A safety from Chattanooga, Tennessee, ranked 1,153rd.
  • Antavius Willis: A Columbus, Georgia native who has also committed.

As the Bulldogs strive to rebuild, the success of these recruits will be critical in shifting the program’s trajectory.
