Chunghwa Telecom and Nokia Launch 50G PON Technology in Taiwan
Taipei, Taiwan – Chunghwa Telecom has announced a significant technological milestone in broadband access by partnering with Nokia to become the first in Taiwan to complete the upgrade to a 50G Passive Optical Network (PON). This development marks a crucial step toward establishing an all-fiber ultra-high-speed broadband infrastructure in Taiwan.
The new 50G PON technology promises to enhance user experience by providing substantially higher bandwidth, lower latency, and a more stable connection.
