Teen wanted for deadly shooting in Mississippi now in custody

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office has announced that 17-year-old Marion Donyale Lester Jr. is now in custody for the deadly shooting of 18-year-old Makenzie Kaleb Thomas. The shooting occurred on April 13 at the intersection of Carol Street and Edwards Avenue in Mississippi. Thomas was found with a gunshot wound and died at the scene.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for any information leading to additional arrests in connection with the case. Residents are encouraged to download the FOX13 Memphis app for breaking news alerts in their neighborhood.

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensuring justice for the victim and holding the suspect accountable for their actions. The community is urged to come forward with any information that could help in the ongoing investigation.
