The University of Cincinnati men’s golf team recently completed the final round of the Old Waverly Collegiate tournament in Mississippi. Junior Ryan Ford led the Bearcats with a three-over par round, finishing tied for 23rd overall. Ford has had a strong season, with six top 25 finishes and a season-low stroke average of 71.96. The Bearcats finished the tournament in seventh place with a team score of 886, while Ole Miss took the team title with an impressive 35 under par. In the individual honors category, Ole Miss teammates Tom Fischer and Michael La Sasso each carded a tournament-best 13 under par.
Next, the Cincinnati team will be heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Big 12 Championships on April 22-24. The team scores from the Old Waverly Collegiate had Ole Miss in first place, followed by Alabama, Mississippi State, and Troy. Cincinnati finished ahead of teams like Missouri, Southern Mississippi, and Kansas State.
