The Ole Miss volleyball program has added setter Vivianna Samaniego to their roster from the transfer portal. Samaniego, originally from Surprise, Ariz., comes to the Rebels after a strong freshman season at Cal State Bakersfield. She recorded 433 assists, 144 digs, 36 service aces, 21 kills, and a block while helping her team to their best season since 2021. Samaniego was also named the 3A Player of the Year in 2023 during her high school career and won the USAV National Championship in the National Division in club play.

Head coach Bre Henry has had success developing transfer portal players, such as fellow setter Mokihana Tufono who earned AVCA All-Region honors after joining the team last season. Samaniego will have three more seasons of eligibility with the Rebels and looks to make an impact on the court.

Fans can join Rebel Rewards powered by Coca-Cola to earn points for attending events and redeem them for exclusive prizes and experiences. To stay up to date on all things Ole Miss Volleyball, follow them on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for the latest news, exclusive photos, and videos. With the addition of Samaniego, the Rebels are shaping up to be a strong contender in the upcoming season.
