Old Dominion baseball team beats No. 22 Southern Mississippi – Daily Press


Old Dominion University’s baseball team secured their first Sun Belt victory of the season with a 4-1 win over No. 22 Southern Mississippi. Pitcher Blake Morgan shut out the Golden Eagles for seven innings, while Tyler Zedalis and Kyle Edwards led the Monarchs at bat. No. 23 Virginia also had a successful weekend, defeating California 11-5 with Henry Godbout hitting a grand slam in a nine-run second inning.
