The Ravinia Festival has announced its exciting 2025 season, packed with a diverse lineup of musical performances and new initiatives. The festival will run from June 5 to August 31, slightly shorter than usual to accommodate a multimillion-dollar renovation of the Ravinia Pavilion. Despite the compressed timeline, the festival promises an impressive array of concerts in the Pavilion, including performances by Grace Jones and Janelle Monáe, James Taylor, Diana Krall, Earth, Wind & Fire, John Legend, and many more. The festival will also feature an increase in pop-orchestra crossover concerts, with appearances by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Chicago Philharmonic.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the Breaking Barriers festival-within-a-festival, featuring a unique blend of culinary and musical arts curated by Food Network star Molly Yeh. The festival will also showcase a wide range of classical performances, including concerts by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Apollo’s Fire, and the Isidore String Quartet. Special tribute concerts will celebrate the music of Wayne Shorter’s Weather Report, Irakere’s 50th anniversary, and a Selena tribute.

The 2025 Ravinia Festival promises to be a dynamic and diverse season, with something for everyone to enjoy. Tickets go on sale to the public on April 24, with lawn admission for CSO programs priced at $15. For more information and tickets, visit ravinia.org.
