In October 1973, three individuals in Pascagoula, Mississippi claimed to have been abducted by alien beings with crab-like claws. Calvin Parker, then 19 years old, along with Charles Hickson and Maria Blair, witnessed two blue flashing lights and oval-shaped objects approaching them on the bank of the Pascagoula River.
Parker and Hickson claimed they were taken aboard the flying objects and examined by the extra-terrestrial beings, who had leathery grey skin and crab-like claws. Parker initially mistook them for robots, but described them as giving him a thorough examination similar to a doctor. The experience completely changed Parker’s life, as he struggled to come to terms with the encounter.
Initially hesitant to speak about the event, Parker eventually wrote a book with the encouragement of his wife to set the record straight. The publication of “Pascagoula – The Closest Encounter” in 2018 prompted others to come forward with similar experiences.
Amazon Prime has now released a four-part documentary series chronicling the alleged abduction in Pascagoula in 1973. The series explores the lives of these individuals following the encounter and their struggles with whether to share their story with the world. Despite initial skepticism and fear of ridicule, the three individuals stand by their claim that they were abducted by alien beings on that fateful night in Mississippi.
