LSU Men’s Tennis Team Falls to Mississippi State 6-1
In a tough match against No. 19 Mississippi State, the LSU Men’s Tennis team was not able to secure a victory, ultimately losing 6-1. The Bulldogs got off to a strong start by claiming the doubles point with wins on the No. 1 and 2 courts.
Despite an impressive performance from Julien Penzlin, who earned the lone point for the Tigers on the No. 3 court, the Bulldogs dominated the singles matches. Petar Jovanovic, Benito Sanchez Martinez, and Mario Martinez Serrano all secured wins for Mississippi State, extending their lead.
The match came down to a close contest on the No. 4 court between Aleksi Lofman and Niccolo Baroni, with Baroni ultimately coming out on top after a tie-breaker in the third set.
