Henry Award winners announced by Arkansas tourism officials


Several cities in Arkansas were recently highlighted in the Henry Awards presented by the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism. Eureka Springs, Hot Springs, and Russellville were recognized for their contributions to the state’s tourism industry during the Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Bentonville.

Jack Moyer of Eureka Springs was named Tourism Person of the Year for his substantial contributions to the hospitality and tourism landscape in the area. The Bentonville-based Peel Compton Foundation received the Tourism Attraction of the Year award for their Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, showcasing Arkansas as a premier outdoor destination.

Bobby Finster of the Rural Innovation Group in Batesville was recognized with the Individual Innovation in Tourism award for revolutionizing outdoor tourism in rural Arkansas. Moon Over Main in Russellville received the Natural State Tourism Development Award for their multiday event celebrating the 2024 solar eclipse.

Visit Hot Springs was named Tourism Organization of the Year for delivering an extraordinary experience during the 2024 Great American Eclipse. The ceremony also recognized Joe DeVito and Alice Walton as the 2025 Tourism Hall of Fame inductees.

The Henry Awards honor individuals, organizations, and attractions making an extraordinary impact on Arkansas’ tourism industry, with a focus on promoting the state’s reputation as a top choice for visitors. These awards recognize the creativity, innovation, and community pride displayed by these Arkansas cities and tourism professionals.
