Ole Miss Softball splits games at Ragin’ Cajuns Invitational

The Ole Miss softball team had a strong showing at the Ragin’ Cajuns Invitational in Lafayette, Louisiana. In the first game, they dominated Sam Houston with a 10-0 win in five innings. Freshman Mackenzie Pickens hit a grand slam in the game while Brianna Lopez pitched a complete game, striking out nine.

In the second game against Louisiana, the Rebels fell short in a close 6-5 nine-inning battle. Ole Miss got off to a strong start with early runs but ultimately couldn’t hold off the Ragin’ Cajuns. Pitcher Aliyah Binford performed well, allowing just three earned runs over six innings.
