Ole Miss Athletics at the University of Mississippi


The Ole Miss football team has welcomed 40 mid-year enrollees to campus in preparation for spring practice. The Rebels’ transfer class has been ranked highly by recruiting outlets such as Rivals, On3, and 247Sports.

Among the list of new scholarship transfers are players like Deuce Alexander, a wide receiver from Wake Forest, and Jaylon Braxton, a cornerback from Arkansas. Lucas Carneiro, a Lou Groza Award semifinalist from Western Kentucky, and Tahj Chambers, a linebacker from Missouri State, are also part of this talented group.

Other notable additions include former Arkansas tight end Trace Bruckler, Louisville quarterback Pierce Clarkson, and LSU safety Sage Ryan. Running back Jordon Simmons from Michigan State and wide receiver Da’Shawn Womack from LSU have also joined the team.

The team also includes walk-ons like quarterback George Hamsley and linebacker Bryson Walters. Punter Oscar Bird from Australia, tight end Hayden Bradley, and defensive back Maison Dunn are among the freshmen who have enrolled early.
