Dr. Steven Beaupre has been appointed as the new dean of the Arkansas State University Graduate School, starting on March 1. With nearly three decades of academic experience in Arkansas, Beaupre previously served as associate dean of the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas. His selection followed a national search process overseen by a campus committee.
The Lyon College School of Dental Medicine also announced new appointments, including Dr. Mark Anderson as associate dean of Academic Affairs, John Teed as an assistant professor, and Dr. Meagan Inclan as an assistant professor. Anderson, a seasoned dental professional, will oversee academic programs for the dental school set to open in June 2025 pending accreditation. Teed and Inclan bring a wealth of experience in clinical practice and public health to their roles as educators.
At Williams Baptist University, Laquietta Stewart, a former basketball player, has been appointed as the new dean of students after a long career in public schools. She brings a wealth of experience as a counselor and educator to her new role at WBU.
Additionally, Lyon College has announced naming rights for their new football stadium, with Bad Boy Mowers and Atlas Asphalt/White River Materials making key contributions. The stadium is set to open in time for the 2025 season and will feature modern amenities and sustainable construction practices.
Lastly, the Bradbury Art Museum at Arkansas State University will host the Delta National Small Print Exhibition, showcasing works from printmakers all over the country. In conjunction with the exhibition, solo exhibitions by artists Jillian Marie Browning and M. Robyn Wall will also be featured.
