The Ole Miss women’s tennis team is gearing up for an exciting spring season, starting with a match against Memphis on Jan. 17. After competing in five tournaments during the fall, the team looks to redeem themselves in Tiger territory. Fans can follow live scoring and video for the matches online. The team roster includes standout players like Ludmila Kareisová, Emma Kette, and Rachel Krzyzak, who have had success in past championships. New additions, such as freshman Brooklyn Olson and transfer Lucie Petruzelova, bring fresh talent to the team. Ole Miss will also face Arkansas State and Tennessee State in a doubleheader on Jan. 19. The Rebels have five returning players from last year’s team, including seniors Kareisová, Krzyzak, and Leclercq-Ficher, who will be key contributors this season.
On the opposite side of the net, Memphis, Arkansas State, and Tennessee State pose as tough opponents with their own set of skilled players, both new and returning. Notably, Memphis boasts senior Miriam Grosmann and Arkansas State features freshman Carla Muro Castellvi as standout players. The Rebels will face tough competition, but with a talented roster and experienced coaching staff, they are poised for success. Fans attending the doubleheader can enjoy free Jimmy Johns sandwiches.
