Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially settled their divorce after Lopez filed for a dissolution of their marriage in August 2024. According to court documents, Lopez will keep her green diamond engagement ring from Affleck. They got married in Las Vegas in 2022 and separated in April 2024 due to irreconcilable differences. They do not have any children together, but Lopez has twins with Marc Anthony and Affleck has three kids with Jennifer Garner.
Lopez spoke about the significance of the ring’s color, calling it her favorite and lucky color in a post to her On the JLo subscribers in 2022. She expressed gratitude for a second chance at true love. Lopez has since talked about being excited to be single again, emphasizing the importance of being good on her own. She mentioned that her whole world exploded in 2024, prompting her to focus on proving to herself that she can be independent.
Despite the divorce, Lopez and Affleck seem to be moving forward in their separate lives. Affleck has waived all rights to Lopez’s personal belongings in the divorce settlement. They have not publicly commented on the divorce.
