Former Marian University cornerback Dwight Lewis III has announced his transfer to Mississippi State. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 195 pounds, Lewis brings with him an impressive resume from his time at the NAIA level, where he recorded 59 tackles, 12 pass breakups, seven interceptions, and three fumble recoveries over the past two seasons. In addition to his defensive skills, Lewis also possesses dynamic ability in the return game.
Lewis, who had offers from Arizona and Wisconsin, ultimately chose the Bulldogs due to the welcoming atmosphere created by the coaching staff.
