Local Athlete Damion Miller Signs with Alcorn State Football Team


Claiborne County native Damion Miller makes the move to Alcorn State University to continue his football career. After spending his freshman season at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2024, Miller has committed to playing for Alcorn State University. During his high school years at Port Gibson High under Head Coach Harry Brown, Miller excelled as a first-team Class 3A all-state pick. He caught 26 passes for 511 yards and eight touchdowns, while also contributing on the defensive end with 11 tackles, two interceptions, and one pass breakup. Miller’s skills were showcased in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star game and the Bernard Blackwell Football Classic. In addition to football, he was also a member of the track and field team. Miller is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship. This move to Alcorn State University marks a new chapter in Miller’s athletic career as he looks forward to continuing his success and showcasing his talents on the football field for the Braves. Miller’s commitment to Alcorn State University demonstrates his dedication to his education and passion for the game of football.
