Mississippi State overcame an early deficit to secure a 45-20 homecoming victory against UMass, marking their first win in seven games. The defense held UMass to 335 yards, with standouts including linebackers Stone Blanton and Nic Mitchell and safety Brylan Lanier. Kyle Ferris was perfect on extra points and added a field goal.
