Land Chosen as Director of Government Relations at ATU


Jaime Land has been appointed as the new director of government relations at Arkansas Tech University, starting on January 9th. With extensive experience in Arkansas state government since 2016, Land has worked in various roles including constituent relations, operations, and human resources.

Having previously served in the office of Governor Asa Hutchinson and the Office of Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, Land most recently held the position of director of public relations in the Office of Secretary of State John Thurston. President Dr. Russell Jones of ATU expressed confidence in Land’s ability to advocate effectively for the university and enhance educational opportunities for students.

A lifelong Arkansan, Land holds a Bachelor’s degree in family and consumer science and a Master’s degree in education administration. She has also been involved in various state and political organizations, including serving as chair of Arkansas Young Republicans and as a campaign manager for Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands Tommy Land.

Recognized as an Arkansas Money and Politics Future 50 Leader and a Cystic Fibrosis Finest honoree, Land is honored to join the team at Arkansas Tech University and believes in the importance of the university’s role in shaping the future of Arkansas. She is looking forward to representing ATU at the state capitol and contributing to the continued growth and success of the institution.
