Brooke Bumgarner, Miss Mississippi’s Teen, Takes Second Runner-Up in Miss America’s Teen Pageant – The Vicksburg Post


Mississippi’s own, Brooke Bumgarner, representing as Miss Mississippi’s Teen, was named the second runner-up to Miss America’s Teen in a prestigious competition held in Orlando. The event took place at the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts, where Miss Arkansas Peyton Bolling clinched the title.

Bumgarner, a resident of Madison and daughter of Brad and Kami Bumgarner, impressed the judges with her talent as she sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” during the competition. She also received a $13,000 scholarship for her achievement.

Prior to this, Bumgarner was also crowned as the winner in the Miss Mississippi’s Teen competition held in Vicksburg in 2024, where she received more than $5,000 in scholarship assistance. She showcased her talent and skills by participating in various extracurricular activities at Madison Central High School, where she graduated as a student body president and homecoming queen.

David Blackledge, the Executive Director of the Miss Mississippi Corporation, commended Bumgarner’s performance and stated that she was deserving of the honor. The final round of the Miss America Competition is set to take place, with Miss Mississippi Becky Williams competing for the title. The event will be broadcast live on pageantvision.com.

Brooke Bumgarner’s success serves as a testament to her dedication and hard work, and she has made Mississippi proud with her achievements on the national stage.
