The No. 24 Mississippi women’s basketball team defeated Georgia with a final score of 63-51, thanks to strong performances from players Deja Murrell and Shakira Austin. Murrell led the team with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while Austin contributed 13 points and 9 rebounds. The game saw Mississippi take an early lead and maintain it throughout, leading by as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter. Georgia put up a fight, but ultimately couldn’t close the gap.
