Three people were found dead at a gas station in State Line, Mississippi on Wednesday morning, the victim of an apparent robbery. Law enforcement received a call of an active shooting at the Exxon/Clark Gas Station at around 6:00 am and found two victims inside the store and one outside. The suspect stole a vehicle from the scene and remains at large, with the vehicle being located by law enforcement about 4 miles away.
The victims include a female clerk, a male companion, and a third person who may have been a relative or friend of the worker. It is believed that the suspect, a heavyset Black male, was waiting or hiding before the store opened and shot the outside customer first before entering the store to shoot the other two victims. Despite everyone complying with the robber, he still committed the violent act.
Authorities are investigating the incident and have not yet apprehended the suspect. The Mississippi Department of Corrections brought in K9 units to try to track the suspect from the vehicle, but were unsuccessful. The community is in shock over the tragic event and is cooperating with law enforcement to bring the perpetrator to justice.
