Pearl Bernice Melton, a beloved member of the Mendenhall, Mississippi community, passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 64. Born in Stockton, California, Pearl will be remembered for her kind heart and fierce protection of those she loved.
Visitation will be held on January 4, 2024, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Magee, Mississippi, followed by a funeral mass officiated by Father Tony Chakkalakkal. Pearl was a devoted member of the church and cherished spending time with her family, especially her great nephews and siblings.
Predeceased by her parents and daughter, Pearl is survived by her brothers Kenneth and John Anthony McDonald, as well as her niece Marissa Welch and nephew Jonathan McDonald. She also leaves behind five great nephews and a host of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Pearl’s legacy of love and protection lives on in the hearts of those she touched. As the community comes together to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, Pearl’s memory will be honored and cherished for years to come. May she rest in peace, reunited with her lost loved ones in eternal joy.
