Athletics at the University of Mississippi – Ole Miss

No. 16 Ole Miss football dominated No. 3 Georgia with a 28-10 win in front of a record crowd of 68,126 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Led by quarterback Jaxson Dart, the Rebels’ offense scored on seven of its 10 drives, while the defense wreaked havoc on Georgia’s quarterback Carson Beck with five sacks and multiple forced fumbles.

Offensive leaders included Dart, who threw for 199 yards and rushed for 50 yards, and Antwane Wells Jr. who caught a key touchdown pass. Defensive standouts included TJ Dottery, Chris Paul Jr., Jared Ivey, and Princely Umanmielen, who all contributed to the dominant performance.

The game started with Georgia taking an early lead, but Ole Miss quickly responded with a touchdown to tie the game. The Rebels then pulled ahead with a series of field goals and extended their lead in the second half with another touchdown. Despite Georgia’s attempts to rally, Ole Miss’ defense shut down any hopes of a comeback.

The win puts Ole Miss (8-2, 4-2) in a strong position in the College Football Playoff race. The Rebels will have a week off before facing Florida and Mississippi State in their final regular-season games.
