Florida State transfer quarterback Luke Kromenhoek has announced his commitment to Mississippi State, adding depth to the team’s quarterback position. Kromenhoek, a four-star recruit out of Georgia, appeared in six games for the Seminoles as a freshman, throwing for 502 yards and three touchdowns. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Kromenhoek brings a strong arm and mobility to the Bulldogs’ offense. With three years of eligibility remaining, he will compete for the starting job next season. Mississippi State has been in need of a quarterback after losing Michael Van Buren Jr. to LSU and Chris Parson to the transfer portal. Kromenhoek joins a quarterback room that includes Blake Shapen, who was the starter before a season-ending injury. The Bulldogs have also signed highly touted quarterback KaMario Taylor to their 2025 recruiting class. After finishing the season 5-7 and missing out on a bowl game, Mississippi State is looking to rebuild under head coach Mike Leach. With Kromenhoek’s addition, the Bulldogs hope to improve their offense and compete in the SEC next season.
