Arkansas governor criticized by Harris for insensitive remarks about her childlessness

Vice President Kamala Harris responded to comments made by Arkansas GOP Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders about her not having children by stating that women don’t need children to be humble, and there are many different forms of family and love. Harris, who is a stepmother to her husband’s children, emphasized the importance of women supporting and uplifting each other.

Sanders had previously made comments about Harris not having children to keep her humble, but then clarified that her comments were about Harris not believing in the importance of humility in leaders. Harris also criticized Sen. JD Vance for his comments about women without biological children.

Harris also criticized former President Donald Trump for his comments about protecting and empowering women while also supporting policies that restrict women’s reproductive rights. She pointed out that Trump nominated Supreme Court justices who are against Roe v. Wade, leading to abortion bans in 20 states.

Harris rejected Trump’s comments about protecting women, pointing out his history of anti-abortion policies and misogynistic language. The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to Harris’ criticism. Harris emphasized the importance of supporting women and not allowing misogynistic comments to go unchallenged.
