Mississippi’s private and independent schools are gearing up for championship week, with games set to begin on Thursday. The Midsouth Association of Independent Schools will feature championship games from various classifications, with teams facing off for the title.
In Class 1A, Wilkinson Christian will take on Briarfield Academy on Friday at Jackson Academy. Class 2A saw Desoto School defeating Tunica Academy with a final score of 58-32. Kirk Academy emerged victorious in Class 3A with a final score of 35-10 against Marshall Academy.
The Class 4A championship game will feature Bowling Green against Tri-County Academy on Friday evening at Jackson Academy. In the Class 5A matchup, Leake Academy will compete against Parklane Academy on Friday afternoon at Jackson Academy. The Class 6A championship game between Hartfield Academy and Jackson Prep will take place on Saturday at Robinson-Hale Stadium at Mississippi College.
