Nebraska Man Charged with Negligent Homicide Following Fatal Mississippi County Crash
BLYTHEVILLE, AR – A 40-year-old man from Nebraska has been charged with negligent homicide in connection to a tragic car crash that resulted in the deaths of two individuals, including an 8-year-old child. Robert Sena, formerly of Lake City, was arrested by Arkansas State Police on January 29, 2024, following a harrowing incident that occurred on October 27, 2023, on Arkansas Highway 18.
The crash involved Sena’s 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, which crossed the centerline, resulting in a head-on collision with a 2019 Ford Edge driven by 34-year-old Ramira Rogers from Blytheville. Tragically, both Rogers and an 8-year-old child were killed in the accident, while another minor passenger suffered injuries.
According to the state Crime Laboratory, Sena tested positive for methamphetamine at the time of the collision. Eyewitnesses reported that he was driving erratically prior to the crash. As a result of these findings, Sena faces two counts of negligent homicide, as well as a citation for driving left of center.
As of Wednesday, Sena remains incarcerated in the Mississippi County Jail as he awaits further legal proceedings. The devastating loss of Rogers and the child has sparked mourning in the community, underscoring the tragic consequences of impaired and reckless driving. Local authorities continue to stress the importance of responsible driving to prevent such devastating incidents in the future. The investigation is ongoing, and further legal actions are anticipated as the case unfolds in the judicial system.
