A drag queen named Pattie Gonia, whose real name is Wyn Wiley, has expressed intentions to take legal action against the Trump campaign for using his image in a recent ad without his permission. The ad featured Vice President Kamala Harris expressing support for transgender individuals, including giving trans inmates access to gender-affirming care. Wiley denounced the ad on social media and directed his followers to an online fundraiser for LGBTQ advocacy groups. It is not clear what type of legal action Wiley is considering. Harris’ stance on transgender inmates receiving gender-affirming care has evolved over the years, with her initially opposing such procedures as California’s attorney general. The Trump campaign and Harris’ campaign did not respond to requests for comment on the matter. Wiley ended his video urging viewers to vote and humorously calling to “make America gay again.”
