University of Mississippi golfer, Julia Macnab, has been named the Southeastern Conference Women’s Co-Golfer of the Week. The sophomore from Aberdeen, Scotland, earned this recognition after an outstanding performance at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic last week.
Macnab led the Ole Miss women’s golf team to a sixth-place finish at the tournament, shooting a team-best 1-over-par 217 and finishing tied for seventh individually out of a field of over 100 golfers. Her consistent play throughout the tournament, including shooting under par in two of the three rounds, helped propel the Rebels to a strong finish against tough competition.
This is not the first time Macnab has received recognition for her golfing prowess. Last season, she was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and had an impressive 73.01 stroke average, the fourth-best in program history. Her success on the course has provided a solid foundation for the team and has helped raise the profile of Ole Miss women’s golf.
In addition to her success on the golf course, Macnab is also excelling academically. She was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll last season, showcasing her commitment to both her sport and her studies.
As Ole Miss continues its spring season, Macnab’s recognition as the SEC Women’s Co-Golfer of the Week serves as a testament to her hard work and dedication. With her leadership and talent, she is sure to continue making an impact on the team and the SEC as a whole.
