Woman accuses Browns QB Deshaun Watson of sexual assault in 2020 incident

Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, is facing a new civil lawsuit alleging sexual assault by a woman, identified only as Jane Doe. The incident reportedly took place four years ago when Watson played for the Houston Texans, with the woman claiming he forced himself on her after she invited him to her apartment. This lawsuit comes after Watson settled 23 out of 24 similar lawsuits in 2022, which led to an 11-game suspension from the NFL, a $5 million fine, and mandated counseling before his reinstatement. The new lawsuit was filed by attorney Tony Buzbee, who represented the other accusers. The Browns and the NFL have not commented on the situation, but Watson could face further discipline from the league. Despite being traded to the Browns in 2022 and signing a lucrative contract, Watson has only been able to make 13 starts due to his suspension and a shoulder injury. His performance on the field has also been less than stellar following his return, as seen in a recent loss to the Dallas Cowboys where he threw two interceptions.
