Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, Prime Big Deal Days, will be returning this fall for the second time in 2024. The mega sale is exclusive to Prime members and offers discounts on products across various categories including tech, travel, home essentials, kitchen gadgets, and beauty. Amazon has not announced the exact dates of Prime Big Deal Days but will update customers as more information becomes available. The sale typically lasts for 48 hours and features some of the lowest prices of the year.
Prime Big Deal Days is similar to Prime Day, with the main difference being the timing of the sales – Prime Big Deal Days in October and Prime Day in July. Both events are exclusive to Prime members and offer Lightning Deals and early access deals. Prime Big Deal Days also serves as a kickoff for early Black Friday sales, as many retailers start rolling out discounts in mid-October.
Prime Big Deal Days will take place in 19 countries including the United States, Canada, and various European and Asian countries. To participate in the sale, customers must be Prime members. Amazon Prime membership costs $139 per year or $15 per month and includes benefits such as free, fast shipping, entertainment perks, and access to exclusive deals.
Customers can sign up for a Prime membership on Amazon’s website or app and new members receive a 30-day free trial. Early October Prime Day deals typically start a few weeks before the event, with the best prices available the week before. Other retailers like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy may also host mega sales around Prime Big Deal Days to compete with Amazon’s offerings.
