Catherine, the Princess of Wales, made a rare public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Aug. 25. She was seen at Crathie Kirk alongside her husband, Prince William, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla. The family usually spends their summers at Balmoral Castle, where Crathie Kirk is their customary place of worship. This was the first time Kate and Charles were seen together since June. Kate announced her cancer diagnosis in March after undergoing surgery in January. She clarified that she was in the “early stages” of preventative chemotherapy and was not returning to royal duties yet. Despite this, she attended the Trooping the Colour in June and the Wimbledon men’s singles final in July, receiving a standing ovation. She also appeared in a video congratulating Team Great Britain on their performance in the 2024 Olympics. There is no official word on when Kate will return to her royal duties, but William is set to attend a gallery next week, and her children are preparing to go back to school next month. Kate’s resilience and determination have been evident as she continues her treatment while also making public appearances and supporting her family.
