Human remains have been found on the property of the husband of Dee Ann Warner, a Michigan woman who has been missing since 2021. The search in Lenawee County was part of the investigation into her disappearance, but the remains have not been identified yet. Dee Ann Warner’s family has been notified of the discovery.
Dale Warner, Dee Ann’s husband, was charged last year with open murder and tampering in connection with his wife’s disappearance. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and a trial was set to begin due to sufficient evidence. Authorities had previously struggled in the case as they lacked a body to work with.
Dee Ann Warner, a mother of five, disappeared in April 2021. The night she went missing, there was a business dispute involving Dee Ann, her husband, and one or two of her employees. Dale and Dee Ann had been married for 15 years, and her brother, Gregg Hardy, described it as a gut-wrenching time for the family.
Dale Warner’s defense vehemently denied the charges against him and had not commented on the recent discovery of human remains on their property. It is unclear why the property was not searched earlier, as the couple lived in Tipton, about 65 miles southwest of Detroit. Family members are hopeful for justice in Dee Ann Warner’s case, as they continue to endure the pain of her disappearance.
